As we see more measures being put in place daily to help keep everyone as safe as possible from the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to reassure you that we will continue to follow UK government guidance as itβs updated. We have already put new measures in place and will frequently adapt our ways of working and processes as we learn more.
The situation is clearly changing very quickly, and we must adapt in-line with governmentΒ advice. We have prepared for a situation where we need to work from home where we will do everything that we can to continue providing our services during this challenging time.
In line with guidance, we have had to postpone all non-essential visits to any properties until the Government advise that non-essential travel and social distancing restrictions have been lifted.
Contractors will continue to work for as long as theyβre able to. We will, of course, continue to work closely with them to ensure statutory inspections, such as Gas Safety checks, are undertaken in a timely manner. Our focus must be on any essential repairs as well as life threatening hazards.
We will do our best to prioritise urgent essential repairs, whilst also remaining conscious of ensuring no one is put at risk including the elderly, vulnerable and expectant mother and unfortunately, some delays may be unavoidable.
Please inform us immediately if:
β’ You have a new continuous cough and/or high temperature.
β’ You are self-isolating for any reason; or
β’ You prefer not to have any visits to your property due to you age or medical vulnerability
If you are a tenant and have your income affected as a result of coronavirus, you should immediately apply for Universal Credit and take advice from the local job centre. Please let us know at your earliest opportunity and we can offer further advice.
It is a testing time for us all and it is very encouraging to see our community working together to make this period easier for everyone around. If you are in isolation and need any assistance with essential food or supplies, please let us know and we will do our best to help you during this time.
Thank you,
The Richmond Harvey Team
